On February 9 , 2024 , at approximately 4:30 p . m . , deputies were dispatched to the report of a disconnected call for help in the 1600 block of S . Mission Road in Fallbrook .   When they arrived , they found an unknown adult male deceased at the location .   A witness advised deputies a potential suspect fled from the area on foot with blood on his clothing .   The witness provided deputies with the suspect ' s description .   Deputies began searching the area and set up a perimeter .   A short time later , a neighbor reported a suspicious person in their yard .   After a foot pursuit , deputies were able to safely detain the suspect .  
   At this time the victim ' s identity has not been confirmed and family has not been notified .
   Sheriff ' s Homicide investigators are working to gather more information to determine the circumstances and motivation behind this death . The investigation is ongoing . No information about the suspect is being released at this time . There are no outstanding suspects .
