   The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department plans to begin the golf season with the opening of Twin Pines Golf Course , 3800 42nd Street NE , on Friday , March 1 . The clubhouse will open at 7:30 a . m . , tee times will begin at 8:00 a . m . , and the course will close at dusk through March . The driving range will also be open . Mini Pines , the City’s miniature golf course , will also open for the season on March 1 . It will operate daily from 10:00 a . m . to dusk .
   The Department plans to open Gardner Golf Course , 5101 Old Golf Course Road , on Wednesday , March 6 . Ellis Golf Course , 1401 Zika Avenue NW , will open on Monday , March 11 . Courses will operate as conditions allow with a limited number of carts available . Tee times may be reserved at
