Position Summary
The County of Wetaskiwin is seeking a permanent part-time Transfer Station Attendant for the Buck Lake Transfer Station. Reporting to the Road Maintenance Foreman, the successful candidate will be responsible for operation of the Buck Lake Solid Waste Transfer Station. Regular hours of work are Tuesdays and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or as required.
Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
Provide own transportation to and from work site.
Deal with the public in a professional manner.
Must have a cellular phone.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
Responsibilities
Maintain records of transfer station users.
Direct user where to dispose solid waste.
Organize and clean-up site.
Opening and closing of site.
Complete quarterly site inspections.
What we Offer
Salary Grid as per IUOE Collective Agreement of $22.36 to$24.84 per hour (currently under review).
