His co - defendant , Esvin Ivan Calles - Corrales , 28 , from Phoenix , Arizona , was sentenced to 60 months in prison and three years of supervised release . More defendants in the case have pleaded guilty and are waiting to be sentenced . The investigation into Drew and his associates , known as the "GUWOP gang" , started in 2022 . They were found to be selling firearms , fentanyl , and methamphetamine . A package addressed to Drew containing drugs was intercepted , leading to the discovery that Calles - Corrales was shipping narcotics from Arizona to Colorado . Drew pleaded guilty to distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine , as well as trafficking firearms . He also agreed to pay restitution for a fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program loan . Calles - Corrales pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl in Colorado . Xavier Drew played a big role in a criminal network that was involved in trafficking firearms and narcotics , operating beyond Colorado . Thanks to the hard work of ATF agents and our partners at USPIS and DEA , their criminal operation has been taken down and they are now facing justice in federal prison . This investigation highlights the connection between drug trafficking and firearms , and shows that DEA and their partners will continue to pursue those who are causing harm in our communities . Judge Raymond P . Moore oversaw the sentencing on March 6 and 7 , with the ATF , USPIS , and DEA working together on the case . Assistant U . S . Attorney Brad Giles handled the prosecution . This case was part of an OCDETF investigation , which targets high - level drug traffickers , money launderers , gangs , and criminal organizations that threaten communities across the U . S . OCDETF uses a collaborative approach involving federal , state , and local law enforcement agencies to dismantle criminal networks .
