Thank You Public Works Crew! Snow Event Wrap Up

   Our region saw more than 3 inches of snow over the weekend of January 19 . Snowfall , plus the threat of freezing rain , had our Public Works team on high alert . Here ' s a quick recap of their hard work .
   50 crew members were called in for 16 - , 12 - and 8 - hour shifts .
   They worked a total of 748 hours over the long weekend .
   Boone County had 43 salt trucks and snow plows treating County roadways .
   Crews treated 9 , 016 miles of county roads .
   1 , 500 TONS of salt was applied before , during and after the snowfall .
