POSITION:
LIBRARY PAGE – Children’s Department
Temporary Summer Help, Bedford Public Library
(Two part-time positions available)
WAGE:
$11.89-$15.08 per hour
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Bedford Public Library is seeking two cheerful, friendly, and creative individuals to work in Children’s Department 20 hours per week from early June through mid-August. Under supervision, this position oversees crafts in support of the Summer Reading Program, assists children in locating needed materials, shelves library materials, and assists at library events. This position also assists with the Junior Librarian Program, including scheduling. The Library Page must be able to communicate effectively, understand and follow administrative direction, and be able to work well with library staff and library patrons. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Head of the Children’s Department and Library Children’s Department staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, possess a friendly professional demeanor and enjoy working with children and patrons of all ages. Must be interested in creative endeavors including crafts and decoration for the Children’s Room. Applicants must be 16 years old or older.
