POSITION: FIREFIGHTER/ EMT, AEMT OR PARAMEDIC
FIRE DEPARTMENT
WAGE:
Commensurate with certifications. See attached.
SUMMARY:
The Bedford, NH Fire Department has current opening(s) for the position of Firefighter - EMT, AEMT or Paramedic
TYPICAL DUTIES
–
Respond to fire and medical emergencies.
Drive and operate emergency apparatus.
Inventory and maintain all apparatus and equipment in a constant state of readiness.
Participate in fire prevention and risk reduction activities.
Participate in regular training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Current CPAT certification or eligible for lateral transfer
Firefighter I certification, (Firefighter 2 preferred)
Paramedic certification only (No firefighter 1) can be considered.
NREMT EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Qualified candidates will be expected to successfully pass the department oral board, acrophobia test, and Chief’s interview to be considered eligible.
