Bent Avenue update 
   Bent Avenue’s intermittent lane closures and flagging will continue through the week of Feb . 5 , pending weather . Please note: thru - traffic will be permitted , but please follow marked signage in the area .  
   Final striping on Bent Avenue has been re - scheduled for the week of Jan . 29; however , this may be pushed back to the week of Feb . 5 given the forecasted rain .   
   Potential intermittent lane closures on Discovery Street 
   The striping of the bike lanes on Discovery Street is tentatively scheduled for the week of Jan . 29; however , this may be pushed back to the week of Feb . 5 given the forecasted rain .   
   Potential intermittent lane closures and flagging may occur , and thru - traffic will be permitted . Please follow marked signage in the area during this time .  
   Paseo del Arroyo Park update
   Due to the rain earlier this week , work on the Paseo del Arroyo Park has been put on hold until the area dries . Construction crews are looking to resume work on the park in mid - February , pending any further weather delays .   
   Work continues on traffic signal timing  
   Construction crews expect to continue work on installing permanent traffic signal technology at all stoplights in the area during the week of Jan . 29 . This will help regulate the timing of the lights and allow the City to more closely monitor the flow of traffic . Please be cautious while driving through the Creek area during this time .

   West San Marcos Boulevard to the north
   Grand Avenue to the east
   Via Vera Cruz to the west
   Discovery Avenue to the south
   The Creek Project will add the needed infrastructure to reduce long - standing flooding issues and improve traffic circulation while revitalizing and preserving the San Marcos Creek .
