Preliminary information: On February 22 , 2024 , at approximately 9:07 p . m . , Atlanta Police Zone 5 officers responded to a report of a person shot near 27 Peachtree St . SW . Upon arriving on the scene , officers located an adult male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound . The victim was alert , conscious , and breathing and transported to the hospital by ambulance . The victim was unable to provide responding officers with any suspect information or a reason for the shooting . Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident . The investigation continues .
