Mesa residents can help shape Tomorrow’s Mesa by attending open house events to review and provide input on the City’s 2050 General Plan . Mesa’s 2050 General Plan provides a vision , sets future priorities and serves as a roadmap for Mesa’s long - term growth , prosperity and well - being . Resident participation is crucial for ensuring that Mesa’s 2050 General Plan accurately reflects the aspirations and priorities of our community .
   The meetings will be taking place in each City Council district:
   District 1 Open House: Feb . 23 , from 6 p . m . to 9 p . m . at St . Luke’s Lutheran Church , 807 N . Stapley Drive
   District 2 Open House: Feb . 22 , from 5 p . m . to 8 p . m . at Taylor Junior High , 705 S . 32nd St .
   District 3 Open House: Feb . 24 , from 6 p . m . to 9 p . m . at Dobson Ranch Community Center , Grande Room , 2719 S . Reyes
   District 4 Open House: March 2 , from 6 p . m . to 9 p . m . at the Charles K . Luster Community Room , 640 N . Mesa Drive
   District 5 Open House: Feb . 29 , from 5 p . m . to 8 p . m . at Red Mountain Multi - Generational Center , 7550 E . Adobe St .
   District 6 Open House: March 1 from 6 p . m . to 9 p . m . at Gilbert Community Education Center , 6839 E . Guadalupe Road
   The City’s General Plan is updated every ten years , as mandated by the State of Arizona . In addition to attending an open house , Mesa residents can engage in the process online through March 4 at

   The draft of the General Plan results from community input from approximately 10 , 000 people who participated via three surveys and about 65 public events and presentations during 2023 . A citizen advisory committee analyzed the community input with help from City staff , who incorporated information from existing plans and Mesa City Council strategic initiatives . The broad Plan includes three core values: The Land , The People and The Economy .
   Should Mesa City Council approve the 2050 General Plan in mid - 2024 , Mesa residents will vote on it during the November 2024 election . Visit
