   Mayor Andre Dickens Appoints New Members to Clean Energy Advisory Board
   ATLANTA—
   Mayor Andre
   Dickens announced the appointment of new members to the City of Atlanta’s Clean Energy Advisory Board , an important component of the City’s community - led and data driven approach to reach 100% clean energy for all Atlantans by 2035 .
   “The new board members bring diverse expertise and life experiences that will strengthen the Clean Energy Advisory Board and accelerate execution of the City’s climate action agenda , ” said Mayor Dickens . “Together , we will work with an intentional focus on our city’s most overburdened neighborhoods to ensure our clean energy strategy is anchored in racial equity and environmental justice . ”
   The members of the Clean Energy Advisory Board are appointed for a two - year term and represent diverse perspectives including that of civic leaders , public , nonprofit , private sectors , community - based organizations , academia , youth climate advocate , and community members from Atlanta’s most 
   energy burdened
    Neighborhood Planning Units . The board meets quarterly and develops recommendations to advise Mayor Dickens and Chief Sustainability Officer Farley on clean energy solutions that drive the City’s climate action goals .
   “I am thrilled to welcome these newly appointed members of the community - led , Clean Energy Advisory Board” , said Chandra Farley , Chief Sustainability Officer . “We have an outstanding board that continues to guide implementation of Clean Energy Atlanta while also playing a crucial role in building Atlanta’s community and data driven , Climate Resilience ‘Action’ Plan which will launch later this year . ”
