The City of Worthington is seeking enthusiastic, collaborative professionals for the position of Management Assistant. This position provides support for the City Manager’s Office by overseeing various projects as well as performing key administrative duties.
Under the direction of the City Manager and Assistant City Manager, the Management Assistant will provide research, analysis, and recommendations to advance the plans and priorities of the City Council. They will serve as a back up to the Clerk of Council and will attend the Committee of the Whole City Council meetings. The Management Assistant will contribute to the coordination of the Citizens Academy, support various boards and commissions, assist the Economic Development Department, and be administrative support to the City Manager and Assistant City Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Public Administration, Political Science or a related field and experience with research and data analysis in local government operations is strongly desired.
This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt, classified position with a salary range of $56,092 - $70,636. New hires typically are appointed at step A of the pay range. Training and experience may qualify a candidate for appointment at a higher step within this range.
