CARVER COUNTY PARKS CELEBRATES RIBBON CUTTING FOR LAKE WACONIA REGIONAL PARK - PARADISE COMMONS
WACONIA , MINN . – The Carver County Board of Commissioners held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the construction of Paradise Commons at Lake Waconia Regional Park on Tuesday , Feb . 20 , 2024 .
Located at Lake Waconia Regional Park , this new building provides event and classroom space , modern restrooms , rental concessions , as well as enhanced lakeshore access to service the beach and picnic areas , trails , other site amenities as well as making a stronger connection for users to Coney Island of the West . This momentous event signifies the accomplishment and the benefit the new building brings to the community .
“The completion of this project adds endless value to County Parks users by allowing for new social gathering accommodations , new opportunities for canoeing and kayaking and improves access to the historical Coney Island of the West . The importance of this project will be felt for years to come throughout the region , and we’re excited to share with users and visitors to Waconia this amazing recreation destination , ” commented Carver County Commissioner Chair , Gayle Degler .
