NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN PURSUANTto provisions of Chapter 54 , Article XXXIII ( Myakka River Protection Zone Code ) that the Sarasota County Commission , Sarasota County , Florida , at their regularly scheduled meeting on February 21 , 2024 , in the Commission Chambers at the Sarasota County Administration Center , 1660 Ringling Boulevard , Sarasota , Florida , at 9:00 AM , or as soon thereafter as possible , will consider and act upon the following petition for a Myakka River Area Variance in connection with the following described property in Sarasota County , Florida , for the following purposes:
   Public hearing to consider a resolution relating to Myakka River Area Buffer Variance Request No . 21 - 163022 - RL for the proposed installation of two retaining walls and re - alignment of a driveway within the 50 - foot River Area Buffer of the Myakka River Protection Zone at 3989 S . Moon Drive , Venice , Sarasota County , Florida , PID No . 0733001000 , Section 7 , Township 39S , Range 20E .
   All interested parties are invited to appear , be heard , and submit relevant evidence . Written comments submitted to
   environmental@scgov . netprior to the date of the hearing will be heard and included in the official meeting record . Complete drafts of the proposed Resolution and/or details are available for public inspection in the office of Sarasota County Environmental Protection Division , 1001 Sarasota Center Blvd . , Sarasota , Florida , 34240 . Supporting documents will be available the Tuesday prior to the public hearing at

   The following time limits for speaker presentations are in effect: 20 minutes for petitioner presentation; 5 minutes for citizen comments per speaker; 5 minutes for petitioner rebuttal . The Chairman may modify time limits to ensure due process to all participants .
