   City of Goodyear Hosts Annual Heart & Sole 5K and 1 Mile - Saturday , Feb . 17
   Being active and getting your heart pumping is a great way to keep your heart healthy! In celebration of National Heart Health Month , the city of Goodyear is hosting its annual Heart & Sole run on Saturday , Feb . 17 .
   New this year , there is a rucking division in partnership with GORUCK . Rucking , which is growing in popularity , is walking or running with weight on your back . For this race , the weighted backpack is determined by how much you weigh and is between 10 - 20 pounds . If running with extra weight isn ' t your speed , no problem! There is a regular 5K and a 1 mile option .
   The event is for all ages and is pet - friendly friendly .
   Heart & Sole 5K and 1 Mile
   Saturday , February 17
   8 a . m . to 12 p . m .
   Goodyear Ballpark
   933 S . Ballpark Way
   Participants will receive a race shirt while supplies last and everyone crossing the finish line will receive a finisher medal .
