City of Orange California - Friendly Center Celebrating 100 Years All Ages 27 January 2024 ( news )

   Friendly Center was founded in 1924 in response to the needs of the local migrant farm workers and their families that settled in the City of Orange .   In March 1967 , it became a community supported , non - profit corporation . As the oldest non - profit in Orange County , Friendly Center remains true to its original mission of improving the lives of the impoverished by helping them move toward self - sufficiency .  
   The exhibit will be located across from the Lending Services Desk at the Orange Public Library & History Center .
