Job Title: Facilities Seasonal Labor
Department: Rio Blanco County Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Non Benefited.
Supervision Exercised: None
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs routine landscaping maintenance.
Mows, aerates, and fertilizes lawns of RBC Facilities.
Loads and unloads equipment and supplies, cleans and cares for basic tools and equipment.
Assists in the repair of water line breaks, cuts and lays sod, cleans sprinkler lines, valves and heads.
Assists Facilities Maintenance Techs with painting, equipment repairs, and other assigned duties.
Waters, pull weeds, and other tasks in maintaining flower beds.
May assist the Facilities Maintenance Techs with tree trimming, removing, and spraying trees.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
OSITION SUMMARY:
Provide routine seasonal labor and maintenance of Rio Blanco County Facilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Methods, materials, techniques, equipment and tools used in landscaping maintenance.
Landscaping
Operational characteristics of equipment and tools used in building landscaping activities
Skill in:
Skill in operating standard equipment and tools
Ability to:
Safely operate power equipment and hand tools
Read and work from manuals
Maintain records
Work independently in the absence of supervision
Understand and follow oral and written instructions
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Use facility work order program to track assigned work
Education and/or Experience:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Desire to learn new skills in facility maintenance and operations
High school diploma
Must be 18 years or older
Licenses or Certificates:
Valid Driver License
Physical Demands:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to climb unusual heights on ladders; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor field environment; travel from site to site; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gasses, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions.
Risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
Other:
May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays for special projects or events or during emergency situations
