Most City of Durham offices , including City Hall and all non - emergency City facilities and operations , will be closed to the public on Monday , January 15 , in observance of Martin Luther King Jr . Day .
Curbside Solid Waste Collections
The
Solid Waste Management Departmentwill be closed on Monday , January 15 .
All collection services will be delayed by one business day .
The
Waste Disposal and Recycling Center , Yard Waste Facility , and the Household Hazardous Waste Centerwill be closed on Monday , January 15 .

City Council Meeting
The City Council
regular business meetingis re - scheduled for Tuesday , January 16 , beginning at 7 p . m . in Council Chambers at City Hall .

MLK Event: Remembering the Legacy through the Artson Saturday , January 13 , from 2 p . m . to 5 p . m . at W . D . Hill Recreation Center , 1308 Fayetteville St . This free public event will commemorate the life of Dr . Martin Luther King Jr .
