   Cedar Rapids Solid Waste and Recycling is hosting the second annual ROAD - E - O , an event organized by the Solid Waste Association of North America ( SWANA ) . The event gives area large equipment operators the opportunity to compete in several events , using a variety of machines .

   Join us for the competition and stay to check out other large equipment , including all five of the City’s newly unveiled art wrapped garbage and recycling trucks . The event is free , open to the public , and kid - friendly .
