Blaggardsreturns to Lewisville to headline this year’s
St . Paddy’s Texas Style even
t on Saturday , March 16 , noon - 7 p . m . , at Wayne Ferguson Plaza , 150 W . Church Street .
This free family - friendly event celebrates St . Patrick’s Day and Texas Independence Day by blending traditional Irish music with Texas country and tributes . It also will include carnival - type activities for kids , along with food and beverage concessions .
Students from Maguire’s Academy of Irish Dance will kick things off at noon on the City Hall stage . Additional musical acts and performance groups include Raina Wallace , Beyond the Pale , 40 Acre Mule , TKB: The Kid Brothers , Skyland , and Kate Watson .
Blaggards play what they call “stout” Irish Rock , which is traditional Irish music mixed with rock - n - roll . They rocked the stage at Lewisville Western Days last year . Frontman Patrick Devlin grew up in Ireland and picked up his love of music tending bars in Irish pubs and music venues . They have fans all over the world , with more than 19 million streams on Spotify and more than 69 million streams on Pandora . Their version of the traditional sea shanty “Drunken Sailor” is their most streamed song on Pandora .
This event supports the “Old Town” Big Move in the Lewisville 2025 vision plan .
