Arrest Made  in J . E . J . Moore Middle School Threat

    ( Prince George , VA ) –
   Arrest made in J . E . J Moore Middle School Threat .
    
   On February 1 , 2024 , the Prince George County Police Department received information regarding threats that a school shooting was going to occur at J . E . J . Moore Middle School .   The threats were posted on a social media platform .   Officers worked with the Prince George County school administration to investigate the incident and to provide additional security safeguards .   Within approximately three ( 3 ) hours of the reporting , the person responsible for the threats was identified and arrested .  
   A 13 - year - old male student from Prince George County is charged with two counts of threats of death or bodily injury to persons on school property .
   The Prince George County Police Department , in partnership with the Prince George County Schools , remains committed to keeping our children , staff , parents and our community safe .  Anyone with information related to school threats is asked to notify the Prince George Police Department at ( 804 ) 733 - 2773 .
