Police Investigating Fatal Crash

    ( Prince George , VA ) –Police Investigating Fatal Crash
    
   On January 15 , 2024 , at approximately 6:27 P . M . , a single - vehicle crash occurred in the 14500 block of South Crater Road .  A 2001 , Honda , 4 - door sedan crossed the centerline , veered off the road to the left , and collided with a tree .   The vehicle was subsequently observed engulfed in fire .  The driver , who was the lone occupant of the vehicle , was declared deceased at the scene .   The driver ' s identity is being confirmed through the Medical Examiner ' s Office .
   Our team of investigators is currently working to determine the cause and circumstances of the crash; speed is believed to be a contributing factor .
