At Cleary Lake Regional Park , you can embrace the winter season and play in the snow! Join Outdoor Recreation School instructors and the Scott County Wellness programmer to try cross - country skiing and snowshoeing . Rent skis and get a few pointers before exploring the trails on your own . Try a winter wellness walk and warm up by a bonfire to roast marshmallows . Snowshoes provided and ski rentals available for free on a first - come , first - served basis . All ages welcome . Registration encouraged . Drop - ins welcome . This program is free and open to all ages . Children 11 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult .
