   "Please Slow Down" is an initiative by the City of Santa Clara to encourage slower driving speeds to improve traffic safety and quality of life in our city . Driving slower increases roadway safety for all users including pedestrians , bicyclists , and the motoring public . Take a moment to slow down and enjoy the ride while being alert to your surroundings .
    
   Yard signs with traffic safety messages are available
   free of chargeto City of Santa Clara residents . To pick up a yard sign , visit the following locations:
