New Rochelle New York - Weekend Closure of Southbound Hutchinson River Parkway Expected Between Exit 8 and Exit 6 20 May 2022 ( news )

   NYSDOT advisory: southbound Hutchinson River Parkway will be closed between Exit 8 ( Cross County Parkway ) in the City of New Rochelle and Exit 6 ( East Lincoln Ave ) in the City of Mount Vernon/Village of Pelham , beginning Friday , May 20 at 10 p . m . through Monday , May 23 at 5 a . m . , weather permitting .
   Motorists should utilize the signed detours for the Cross County Parkway .
   These closures are needed to facilitate construction activities at Exit 6 ( East Lincoln Ave/Mount Vernon/Pelham ) as part of an ongoing bridge replacement and rehabilitation project in Lower Westchester .   
   Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones . Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone .  Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license .
