Westbound lanes of 29th Street between Garfield Avenue and Lake Drive will be closed next week while Loveland Water and Power crews repair a leaky water main beneath the road . The closure will begin at 7 a . m . Monday , January 29 , and continue until Monday , February 5 .
   Corrosion in the 16 - inch steel main caused the leak , which was located directly under the westbound lane of 29th Street . Because the leak is 12 feet below the road , infrastructure general contractor Connell Resources will assist crews with digging , backfilling , compacting and patching the road when the line is repaired .
   No water outages are anticipated . Detours will take drivers to 37th Street or Eisenhower Boulevard .  Lake Crest Drive at 29th Street will also be closed to left turns for equipment staging .
