The City of Miami is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Water Crewman II. This position provides manual labor in the repair and maintenance of the City of Miami water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
Some job duties will include excavating and back-filling trenches and culverts, repairing valves and hydrants, and drilling and installing taps in water mains. This position will perform repairs on water meters and help clean and maintain sewer lines. Must be able to operate a dump-truck, tapping and boring equipment for pipe installation, air compressors, jack hammers, and other machinery used in the process of water and sewer line installation and repair.
This position requires at least two (2) years of training or working in excavation or utilities.
