The Board of Supervisors has pledged continued support for an award - winning regional effort to address flooding issues .
   During the January 2 meeting , the Board affirmed its support of the Southwest Butler County Stormwater Planning Group . Formed in 2019 at the behest of the Butler County Commission , the Group consists of 10 municipalities , including Adams , Cranberry , Forward , Jackson , Lancaster , and Penn townships and Evans City , Harmony , Seven Fields , and Zelienople boroughs .
   The Group is working to develop a comprehensive stormwater management plan that identifies improvements and mitigation efforts . Thus far , it includes 22 projects with financial planning ongoing .
   The Group earned the 2023 Governor’s Excellence in Local Government Award for the collaboration .
