Members of the Vail Town Council , Eagle County Commissioners and other local leaders are inviting residents to join them for a ski and ride day following a series of successful outings in years past .   
   Participants are asked to meet at 10 a . m . on Friday , Jan . 12 at Gondola One in Vail Village . There will also be an option to meet the group for lunch at 12:30 p . m . at El Segundo , located 223 Gore Creek Dr . in Vail .  
    
   Originally organized in 2014 , the ski and ride day is intended to facilitate casual conversations among community members outside the structure of formal meetings .  
    
   No RSVPs are needed . Participants are responsible for their own equipment , lift ticket and lunch . An intermediate ability level is advised .
