Utilities Maintenance Worker
The City of Andover has an employment opportunity for a Maintenance Worker in the Utilities department, beginning approximately May 2022. This position performs various types of manual labor and operates light and heavy equipment in the operation and maintenance of the City’s utilities. Backhoe, bobcat & snowplowing experience helpful. Other duties as required.
Minimum qualifications include a valid class A or B CDL drivers license at time of application; previous working knowledge of equipment, materials and supplies used in building and ground maintenance; working knowledge of equipment and supplies used to do minor repairs; working knowledge of application safety precautions; and the ability to communicate in an oral or written form. Must be able to obtain class D water and SD sewer certification within 2 years, if not already certified.
Must be within 20 minutes of Andover for on-call response.
Starting Pay Rate: $25.05/hour
Full range: $25.05-$32.70/hour
