Two utilities improvement projects along NW 44th Street between Pine Island Road and University Drive are expected to have an impact to westbound traffic beginning January 21st and continuing through February 10th , barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays . During this period of time , Sunrise Utilities will replace a force main and the City of Lauderhill will perform work on their Sunrise interconnect including the replacement of a nearby water main .
   Traffic  advisories related to these projects include: 
   During this project work , there will be a full directional closure for westbound vehicular traffic on NW 44th Street between NW 82nd Avenue and NW 84th Avenue . A lane diversion will be used to maintain the flow of traffic in both directions .
   Pedestrian , bicycle , and emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times .
   Please allow additional travel time in this area and observe all posted signage , including suggested detour routes .
