Trio , a 2 - year - old male lab , is the Sarpy County Attorney ' s new trained facility dog . His work includes creating a sense of calm at the courthouse while also providing emotional support to crime victims and witnesses , especially children .
Trio is often seen around the courthouse with County Attorney Chief of Staff Jean Brazda , who is also his handler . Jean was the handler for Manny , who died earlier this year after eight years as the courthouse ' s facility dog .
