Traffic Safety Committee: January 2024 Update
Saco ' s Traffic Safety Committee met on January 18th , discussing a few agenda items , and holding a workshop .
Cutts Avenue will remain a one - way street following the change initially put in place in July 2022 to accommodate construction . The committee cited resident feedback preferring the one - way street arrangement and the vote was unanimous .
The committee also reviewed communication with Maine Department of Transportation about the Spring and Bradley Street intersection . MDOT acknowledges that the intersection is not working as intended , and the City talked about short - , mid - , and long - term ideas for improvement , such as additional stop signs , reflective stripes , and physical changes to the intersection . These improvements would be dependent on funding .

Next up , the Committee will hold a joint meeting with Saco ' s Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee at Saco City Hall at 6:00 PM on February 22 , 2024 . Agenda items are being finalized , and the agenda will be published on the Traffic Safety Committee webpage .
