Town of Telluride – Town Council – Summary of Key Decisions
( June 14 , 2022 ) – Telluride , Colorado – The Telluride Town Council approved the 2022 Open Space Commission Work Plan as well as approving formal edits to the Climate Action Plan .
Town Council unanimously approved a contract with the Telluride Tourism Board ( TTB ) for the 2022 fiscal year for a “Sustainable Destination Marketing and Tourism Management Services Agreement” . As part of the agreement the Town of Telluride will be provided a seat on the Board of Directors for the Telluride Tourism Board and Councilperson Meehan Fee was unanimously named as the Town’s representative to fill that seat .
Town Manager Scott Robson announced that the EPA will host a public meeting tomorrow Wednesday the 15
th
from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at the Wilkinson Library in Telluride

The need for further water conservation efforts was discussed along with declining water storage as a persistent drought continues throughout the West and the month of June has remained dry . The public is reminded that the Town’s Code currently
mandates
that outdoor landscape watering may ONLY occur after 5:00 pm , and before 9:00 am with the exception of landscaping new developments .

Town Clerk Tiffany Kavanaugh gave a brief presentation on possible vending sites that will be considered on June 28 , 2022 at 9:00 am .
Town Council unanimously approved an increase of Town parking meter rates from $1 . 50 per hour to $2 . 00 per hour effective July 1 , 2022 following the multi - year recommendations of the Town’s parking fee plan and paralleling communities such as Mountain Village . Town Council approved a resolution authorizing the purchase of certain real property ( Diamond Ridge ) for affordable housing and open space purposes . Council also ratified the joint grant application of San Miguel County and the Town of Telluride to the Colorado Department of Local Affairs - Housing Division for grant funds for The Diamond Ridge Project .
