VACANCIES ON BZA AND LBBCA
    
   The Front Royal Town Council is searching for citizens who are interested in serving on one of the boards listed below . All vacancies are open until filled .
    
   Front Royal Board of Zoning Appeals ( BZA ) to fill two vacancies
   an unexpired term ending May 1 , 2024
   an unexpired term ending August 31 , 2025
   The BZA is a 5 - member Board . Town Council shall interview candidates and recommend their nomination to the Judge of the Circuit Court of Warren County .  They meet once a month as needed . A stipend is paid to each member for meeting attendance .
   Applicants must live within the Town of Front Royal Corporate Limits and complete the Certified Board of Zoning Appeals program through TheLand Use Education Program ( LUEP ) at VCU within one year of service paid for by the Town .
    
   Meetings and agendas are planned and organized through the Town’s Planning Department . BZA is responsible for deciding whether variances from the Town ' s zoning regulations can be granted and to listen to appeals of administrative decisions of the Zoning Administrator .  
    
   Local Board of Building Code Appeals ( LBBCA ) to fill one vacancy
   an unexpired term ending November 1 , 2027
    
   LBBCA is a 5 - member board appointed by Town Council . They meet once a month as needed . A stipend is paid to each member for meeting attendance . Applicants must live within the Town of Front Royal Corporate Limits .
   Meetings and agendas are planned and organized through the Town’s Planning Department .  
   Those interested shall have knowledge and experience in the construction industry or have equivalent experience in the real estate , law , architecture , or engineering professions . LBBCA is responsible for listening to appeals as related to building regulations that facilitate the maintenance , rehabilitation , development , and reuse of existing buildings at the least possible cost to ensure the protection of the public health , safety and welfare of Town residents .
