If you answered Super Senior “Jeopardy , ” you would be correct . This group social will include playing a "Jeopardy like" trivia game from JeopardyLabs . com .  Super Senior "Jeopardy" is moving to Thursdays! It will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday , March 28 , 2024 . Participants take turns choosing category and amount of the question . Each participant can answer each question . Points will be awarded for correct questions and deducted for incorrect answers . Points are not awarded or deducted for unanswered questions . Registration is not required . 60+ Step By Step Painting sponsored by Brookdale San Marcos North ( City of San Marcos ) - Join us for our very popular program , Step by Step Painting , sponsored by Brookdale San Marcos North . Participants will be led by an art instructor that will take them step by step through the creation of their painting . All participants will be painting the same subject . This is a free event and all supplies will be provided by Brookdale San Marcos North and San Marcos Parks and Recreation . The next Step by Step Painting will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday , March 29 , 2024 at the Dunbar Recreation Center located at 801 West MLK . Two participants will be seated at each six foot table . Registration is required and is limited to 40 . 60+ Active Older Adult Bingo ( City of San Marcos ) - Will you be the next one to shout “BINGO”? You’ll never know unless you join us for our monthly Bingo program . Each month , we provide Bingo with great prizes and light refreshments , so join us for tons of fun , B4 and after . Registration for Bingo is no longer required . Participants must agree that they have read and understand the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department Release and Waiver of Liability and will have to sign the waiver when attending Bingo . Each person will be given 3 Bingo cards to play each game . Participants will be seated across from each other at 6 - foot round tables . Bingo will take place at 2:00 PM at the San Marcos Activity Center . Upcoming Dates for Bingo: Wednesday , April 10 , 2024 .

Pickleball Open Play ( City of San Marcos ) - Pickleball Open Play is offered Monday through Friday from 8:30 - 11:30 AM for ages 18 and up , We have six courts for Pickleball , three courts as competitive courts and three courts as recreation courts . This has helped us accommodate our growing number of advanced and beginner level Pickleball players . Pickleball is a cross between badminton , tennis and ping - pong . It is played on a badminton - sized court 20 ft . by 44 ft . with paddles , a wiffle ball and a net that is lowered to 34 inches . Players volley the ball back and forth to try to score on the opposition . Pickleball is free for Activity Center members . Non - members are charged the daily use rate $6 . 00 for adults 18 to 59 , $3 . 00 for ages 60 and above . For more information , call 512 . 393 . 8280 . This game show type program will include playing a "Family Feud® like" question and answer game .  Participants will be asked a question . Each participant will write down their answer on a dry erase board . If their answer matches one of the answers that was given in our survey , they will be awarded points equal to the number of people in the survey that chose the same answer . Individual scores will be the total number of points earned for each question . Registration is not required . The Survey Says is not affiliated with Family Feud® or FremantleMedia North America . Spring Native Plant Sale Sustainability Fair ( City of San Marcos ) - The Native Plant Sale offers a wide variety of native and adapted plants , including: perennials , grasses , shrubs , trees , and organic vegetables and herbs . Knowledgeable staff are available to assist with plant questions . Local organizations will be onsite to discuss environmental efforts and how you can get involved in sustainability initiatives . Plan ahead by checking the plant availability list ( stay tuned - available the week of the event ) . We recommend you bring your own cart to haul plants , if possible . We will have limited carts available . There will be holding area for your plants after you purchase them so you can stay and enjoy the Fair . Staff will be available to assist with loading plants into your vehicle at our pickup location .

60+ Indoor Cornhole ( City of San Marcos ) - Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to this sport , join us once a month for 60+ Indoor Cornhole at the San Marcos Activity Center . Cornhole is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags , instead of horseshoes and stakes . Contestants take turns pitching their bags at the platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points . A bag in the hole scores 3 points , while one on the platform scores 1 point . Benefits of playing Cornhole include increased mobility and leg strength , depth perception and vision , and balance and hip mobility . Registration is not required .
