National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met today with Simon Coveney , Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defense of Ireland . They discussed their continued commitment to support Ukraine in the face of ongoing atrocities by Russia , as well as their ongoing coordination with international partners to impose severe costs on Moscow . They reviewed their efforts to provide security , economic , and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine; to support refugees and displaced persons; and to address the impacts of the war on global food security . They also talked about their countries’ close cooperation on shared global challenges , including in the United Nations Security Council . They underscored their enduring commitment to the Good Friday Agreement and the importance of preserving political and economic stability in Northern Ireland . ###
