Applications are being accepted by the Department of Mental Health to fill two (2) Staff Social Worker positions. These positions are located in Goshen and Port Jervis. The work involves responsibility for performing social work to help individuals with social, emotional, and related difficulties. These positions are part of dynamic County-Operated Clinic Teams working with children, adults, and families.
The work is performed within prescribed professional standards with considerable latitude permitted in formulation of treatment plans and methods, and administration of therapy. Work is performed under the general supervision of a designated supervisor (Mental Health). Incumbent is required to work some evenings.
CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION IS A REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT
EXAMINATION NOTICE TO BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER DATE
This position is allocated to the competitive class. The nature of this appointment is provisional pending outcome of a Civil Service Examination. Examination date to be announced at a later date.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a professional license and current registration as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the New York State Education Department.*

Must possess the ability to fulfill the travel requirements of field assignments.

The successful candidate will be subject to a background investigation, including a Criminal History Record Check.
Starting Salary:
Grade 16, Step 04: $76,668 annually (35 hours/week)
