$65,000-$75,000 depending on experience
Manages and implements grant programs; coordinates the development, administrative management, reporting and closeout of grants and other programmatic investments made by the county.
The SP&G Administrator will, while following federal and state grant policies and procedures, ensure the County’s grant-making and related processes, documents, procedures and implementation are executed professionally, efficiently, on schedule, and in a manner consistent with best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Research and Development necessary to completion of a state-designated Sewer District
Assist in creating a centralized enhanced 911 Service in Washington County.
Perform functions of financial administration and reporting to include, but not limited to; preparations and timely submission of grant reports, development and adjustment of associated budgets, maintains auditable records, coordination of budgeted funds, screening and processing requests for expenditures.
Promotes and maintains positive and effective working relationships as a representative of Washington County.
Collects information on potential projects/expenditures; reviews them for compliance with Federal and State guidelines and goals of the County Comprehensive plan; and recommends projects/expenditures to the Board of Commissioners.
Serves as the primary point of contact for County elected officials and staff and community agencies regrading proposed ARPA/Infrastructure Projects/expenditures and financial reporting.
Tracks results of programs and services implemented.
Assists with drafting requests for proposals and invitations to bid relative to the funds provided to the County.
Collaborates with multiple departments and organizations to achieve goals.
Resolves complaints, answers inquiries, and presents to community groups.

Suggested Training and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Urban Affairs, Political Science, or other related field or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience with federal and state grant policies and procedures preferred.
Associates degree and/or experience will be considered.
Communicate effectively; to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Meet job demands under stressful situations
Interpret and explain complex grant funding requirements, submissions, and budget projections
Participate in conferences, meetings, and training sessions.
Excellent analytical, assessment, problem-solving, judgement, and decision-making skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other related software.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee should be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. maintaining full-time status.
Occasional travel is expected for this position.
