With the possibility of a snowstorm this weekend , residents are reminded to remove vehicles from the roadway once snow has covered the street . Vehicles should not be returned to the roadways until after the storm has ended , and roadways are plowed .
Residents are also reminded that you are not allowed to park on sidewalks , block fire hydrants , or park on another’s driveway without the permission of the homeowner . If you have a vehicle that requires maintenance and will not start , please make arrangements prior to the beginning of the storm , and remove the vehicle from the street . All vehicles left on the roadway are in violation of Borough Ordinances and are subject to being towed and/or summonsed .
In the event of a snow storm our public works and utility crews will be working hard , for as long as needed to keep roadways passable . They need your cooperation in order to do an effective job so please do not throw snow back onto roadways .
If you do not have space to park your vehicles , residents may park in any Borough owned parking lot designated by the Director of Public Works . Residents are encouraged to call the police department if you have parking questions at 732 - 828 - 1100 .
