City of Minnetonka Minnesota - Significant snow system moving through Minnetonka 01 January 2100 ( news )

It looks like it’s finally happening - a significant storm system could bring two to four inches of snow to the southern half of the state .
Public Works crews are set to begin plowing at 2 a . m . on Feb . 15 , clearing streets for the morning commute . Teams clear main roads first and then move on to residential streets and cul - de - sacs . Teams are set to begin on trails tomorrow morning at about 5 a . m .
Plowing takes about nine hours to complete in Minnetonka . Please drive with caution and be on the lookout for plows .
Trail plowing
Due to warmer than normal conditions , gravel trails will not be plowed during this winter storm . Typically , gravel trails have frozen this late into winter , but last week’s warm streak has led to loose gravel . Plowing under these conditions can cause damage to trails . Use caution when using crushed gravel trails
Parking
Overnight parking is prohibited on city streetsin Minnetonka from 2 - 6 a . m . This is to ensure that Public Works teams can plow from curb to curb on each street . Cars left on the street overnight are subject to tag and towing . Vehicles left on the street may be plowed in during plowing operations . Public Works encourages residents to park vehicles in driveways until streets have been cleared from curb to curb .
