Three deputy trainees of the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office graduated from the Sacramento Police Academy on Dec . 21 .  
   Pictured left to right: Michael Kennedy , Bryn Connor and Nicole Hamilton .  
   Hamilton earned special recognition for her grit and determination during the academy , earning the Natalie Corona award , named after slain Davis Police Officer Natalie Corona .  She was presented the award by Corona’s parents . Sheriff Shannan Moon was in attendance to cheer on the new deputies during the ceremony and awards , along with fellow command staff . The three deputies officially started their careers with the Nevada County Sheriff ' s Office just after Christmas .
