BASIC FUNCTION:
Primarily responsible for the development and implementation of capital projects and related services and programs for an assigned department. Duties and responsibilities are based around complete and comprehensive project management functions throughout all phases including planning, design, and construction. Depending on the business needs of the County, these duties and responsibilities may be performed directly by the individual, indirectly through the supervision of assigned technical staff, or indirectly through the management of County contracted vendors, consultants, and contractors. Performs a leadership role in the training, development, and supervision of other department staff to ensure that needed technical and leadership skills meet current and emerging needs of the department. This position participates in the development and implementation of department policies, special initiatives, or business process improvements on project planning and delivery subject areas as assigned.
