   Second Public Meeting Planned for Update on Americans with Disabilities Transition Plan
   CHARLOTTESVILLE , VA – 
   The City of Charlottesville and Precision Infrastructure Management ( PIM ) will host its second public meeting discussing the ongoing development of the ADA Transition Plan to support the City’s residents with disabilities .
   “The City of Charlottesville believes that all City facilities , programs , and services should be accessible to all members of the community , ” ADA Coordinator Paul Rudacille said . “While we are continuously working on improving accessibility , an updated Transition Plan will help us benchmark where we are now and develop a roadmap for where we can be in the future . ”
   This Transition Plan update involves a self - assessment of the City’s public rights - of - way , facilities , programs , and services .
   Charlottesville residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more , receive a status update on the project , and actively engage in a question - and - answer session .
   “We want to get feedback from the community . We need to hear what people who are on the ground all the time have to say . We couldn ' t do accessibility right if we didn’t have the community engagement piece . We want to hear from you . " Matthew Shapiro of Precision Infrastructure Management said .
   This marks the second in a series of information sessions dedicated to this plan . The second session will be available for live - stream viewing .
