Hello neighbors ,  
   The following is a summary of the
   Safe Healthy Connected People Commission
    meeting that
   took place on May 10th
    . I serve as the City Council Liaison to the Commission which is charged with helping the City Council and city staff meet the Master Plan goals to Foster relationships across generations and cultures by providing a safe and healthy environment and providing opportunities to connect and engage with other residents of the City .
   There were two primary items on the agenda . The first was reviewing recommendations in the Safe Healthy Connected People section of the draft Policy Priorities and Strategies document that the City Council uses in our work plan . These goals are based on the
   Master Plan , which is the guiding document for all of the work we do in Winooski
    . Winooski City Council is
   meeting on May 21
    from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Winooski Senior Center (
   123 Barlow Street
    ) to discuss this document and to ensure that our goals are aligned with City staff .
   The second was a preliminary review and discussion of the recently
   completed Equity Audit
    and how findings from the report can guide future City and Commission work . Ultimately , the Commission decided that focusing our efforts in partnership with the Winooski Housing Commission on developing a ' Housing Summit ' would be a good step toward creating a more inclusive and equitable community .
