On Saturday , January 27 from 1 to 4 pm , Wargo Nature Center will be hosting its annual Snow Day event in collaboration with the City of Blaine Parks Department . This free , family - friendly event includes a variety of activities for all ages and interests , both indoors and outdoors . Things to do at the event include seeing a live animal show , making a take - home craft , snowshoeing , ice fishing , kick - sledding , and enjoying some tasty hot cocoa and treats . This is an all - weather event and will run regardless of snow levels and cold .
