North Bend Washington - Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley Announces Community Grant Awards 20 May 2022 ( news )

The Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley has selected thirteen community organizations to receive $14 , 000 in grants ranging from $500 to $2 , 000 . Club President David Moore said , “Every dollar that supporters and partners of the Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley provide goes back to the community . For over 25 years the Rotary club has been able to provide cash grants to many of the outstanding service organizations in and around the Valley . ”
The following organizations were awarded grants:
Acres of Diamonds: Furnishings for new program space for kids from homeless families
CarePoint Clinic: Medical expenses project
Empower Youth Network: Suicide and substance abuse prevention programs
Encompass Northwest: Outdoor therapy play space
Helping Hands Ministry: Emergency client assistance
Hopelink: Financial resiliency program
Mama’s Hands: House of Hope: Home Sweet Home Program
Mt Si Senior Center: Atrium deck furniture
North Bend Community Theater: Scholarship Fund for theatre camp
Si View Community Foundation: Portable Automated External Defibrillator ( AED ) for Tollgate Farm Park
St Clare Episcopal Church: Water smart veggies
St Vincent de Paul: Keep My Home
Trail Youth: Coffee outreach for youth
Each year the Rotary club raises funds for its grants program by hosting fun and popular activities in the community , including SipFest , the Mount Si Classic Charity Golf Tournament , and the Beer Garden at the Festival at Mt . Si .
The Rotary club supports the community through service projects that include participating in the state’s Adopt - A - Highway program; providing food to a local homeless shelter; hosting gravity car races for developmentally disabled students; and providing food to homeless youth when schools are not in session . And since 1979 , the more than 35 , 000 Rotary clubs around the world have led the global effort to eradicate polio .
