Position Summary
:
Performs a variety of tasks under direct supervision of the Parks & Recreation Manager in support of Township operations within the Parks & Recreation Department.
Essential Functions:
Perform research on a variety of topics specific to departmental goals and objectives.
Assist with summer camp programs and activities, and attend field trips, as needed.
Monitor, evaluate, and promote programs and services.
Assist with set-up and cleanup of programs, meetings, and events.
Prepare correspondence, memos, forms, and reports.
Copies, distributes, and files paperwork.
Assist with community event planning efforts by connecting with sponsors, donors, and vendors.
Assume other duties, as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education, Licenses/Certifications
Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree or post degree from an accredited college/university in Recreation, Environmental Science, Sports Management, Education or a related field.
Opportunity for school credit if allowed by the college/university of the applicant.
The Township does not guarantee employment upon completion of the internship.
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED Certifications.
Final hire is based upon an acceptable criminal background check & child abuse clearance.
