The Village is developing a Strategic Vision Plan for the Stratford Square Mall property . Since it opened in 1981 , the Mall was an economic engine for our community . But vacancies have continued to climb , and the mall no longer represents an attractive or financially viable asset to the community . The success of this property is important to the vitality of our community , and we are seeking the community’s input and ideas about the future of this area .
