Notice of Public Hearing for NJ Green Acres Program Jake’s Law Playground Funding Application
PURPOSE: Seaside Heights is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements on Block 1 . 02 , Lot 1 , named Sunset Beach , at 1200 State Highway 35 South in the Borough of Seaside Heights , Ocean County , New Jersey .
PROJECT SCOPE: Seaside Heights proposes to create the following new facilities at Sunset Beach: new inclusive play structures for 2 - to 12 - year - olds , swings , safety surfaces , and supporting amenities including benches and bike racks . A concept plan showing the proposed changes , a preliminary cost estimate , and an environmental impact assessment for the project are posted here on the Seaside Heights website for review (

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Wednesday , January 17 , 2024 , at or after 6:00pm .
